Action: We have migrated and developed our next gen Glass Commerce by improving user flows, purchasing experiences and creating new processes for seller onboarding and seller verifications.

Why? This migration was lead by the 

obstacle that our sellers would create a store in Glass Commerce, but didn't focus on updating inventory regularly since it usually wasn't their main selling channel. 

​

This meant our government buyers were making decisions based on outdated data since sellers might have changing inventory levels that weren't being reflected in real time on our marketplace. 

​

Solution: As a solution to this obstacle, we decided to develop a proprietary vendor aggregator that allowed vendors to connect their already existing sales channel into our marketplace while still complying with the necessary verification process.

Role and Responsibilities: As the product lead in this project, I was responsible for both the design and the management of the development team. I created and implemented the design of our marketplace, making sure to improve our user friendly branding and user interface processes. I also lead the development team in order to execute and integrate our proprietary technology to our marketplace within the established time frame.

Method: 

• Visually communicate the product's vision and establish the low level strategy to accomplish our goals 

​

• Worked on a 1:1 basis with the development team to track feature completion and communicate to managerial and operation team

​

• Ownership of product roadmap, constantly re assessing priorities and feature implementation based on feedback.

 

Result: With this vendor agreggator development and implementation along with the platform migration,  vendors can now update their inventory in their main sales channel such as their existing Shopify, go through the vendor verification process and have live data be reflected into our government marketplace
